With years of accumulated "know-how" and expertise regarding the many advantages and drawbacks of gel polish treatments, it was a significant challenge for Sofie Devlieger to optimize these treatments. In 2017, she introduced Abstract's® Rubber Base, followed by the Rubber Base & Build in 2018.
Driven by her commitment to offering the best and most efficient products to beauty professionals, Sofie took it a step further in 2018 with the Rubber Base & Build. The goal was to create an all-in-one gel: Primer, Base Gel, and Builder Gel in one, specifically developed to treat thin and brittle natural nails in a gel polish environment.
Abstract® Rubber Base & Build Gel is a soak-off base and builder gel. This 3-in-1 gel is designed to:
- Strengthen natural nails;
- Provide structure to the natural nail;
- Create short extensions using tips (maximum extension of 0.5 cm).
Rubber Base & Build was specifically developed for use in a gel polish environment. This 2-in-1 gel can be used on any nail plate type but was particularly designed for thin, brittle nail plates and problem nails like spoon nails or oily nails. This medium-flexible gel adheres exceptionally well to the natural nail and guarantees superior adhesion. It is simple to use for both beginners and advanced users.
A primer is already integrated into the Rubber Base & Build Gel, making it unnecessary to use Primer, Bonder, or regular Rubber Base Gel after the Abstract® Prep Procedure. Rubber Base & Build is not intended for use as a base gel in a hard gel or acrygum environment.

Use Rubber Base & Build as a base gel when you want to soak off Abstract® Brush N' Color.
Rubber Base & Build does not need to be removed at every visit. It can be refilled like traditional gel. Removal of Rubber Base & Build can be done by filing, e-filing, or soaking.
Planning to apply another brand of gel polish besides Abstract® Brush N' Color (Hybrid Gel Polish)? Ensure that the sticky layer of the Rubber Base & Build is minimized to avoid discoloration.
