As a standard rule, Abstract® Brush N' Color is always applied over a Rubber Base Gel base when performing a gel manicure on natural nails that are in good condition.

  • If a client insists that the gel manicure must be soak-off, a thin layer of Rubber Base & Build Clear can be used as a base instead of Rubber Base Gel.
  • In the case of brittle, fragile natural nails, Rubber Base & Build Gel can be used instead of Rubber Base Gel.

Would you like to apply Brush N' Color over a hard surface such as hard gel, acrylic or acrygel? In that case, it is essential to file the surface with a 180-grit file, remove all dust and then apply Stick 2 Base Gel to promote adhesion between the hard surface and the flexible Brush N' Color.

If you want to work extremely precisely with Abstract® Brush N' Color, we recommend removing the tacky layer from the surface and free edge with a dry sponge after curing the Rubber Base Gel, Rubber Base & Build Gel or Stick 2 Base Gel, before applying the color.

Brush N' Color can be soaked off if it has been applied over a soak-off base. By soak-off base, we mean: Rubber Base & Build, Acrylic or Brush N' Build. In all other cases, it must be removed by filing or using an e-file.

Brush N' Color shades are highly pigmented, so it is extremely important to always respect the recommended curing times and to apply the layers thinly and evenly. When working with an LED lamp, always make sure that the client's fingers are positioned correctly in the designated positioning areas so that they receive sufficient UV light.

Brush N' Color is not just any gel polish... It is extremely suitable for both beginners and advanced nail technicians, which is why it is so popular. In the unlikely event that you notice Brush N' Color wrinkling, this is caused by applying it too thickly or not curing it sufficiently. By carefully following the instructions for use, you will achieve the very best results time after time.

Good To Know and no reason to panic. ;-)

Neon Brush N' Color shades may sometimes develop blue-purple patches after the top gel has been cured. This is completely normal and simply part of the nature of neon pigments. Rest assured... after a few moments, these patches will disappear completely. This is mainly caused by the neon pigment absorbing UV light. Keep in mind that the sun also produces UV light, so this may also occur when a client travels to a sunny destination and spends extended periods in the sun. Always inform the client about this. Not all neon shades are sensitive to this phenomenon... One more tech tip: make sure to apply neon shades as evenly as possible and apply the top gel evenly and not too thickly as well. A little goes a long way.
